Music (Margaret) – Their love of music brought them together. Their time at SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music overlapped and the rest is history. Mayr cut this out a long time ago and it still sits on my dresser today: “Music seduces our heart to awaken to feel more deeply, boldly and colorfully the preciousness of being human.” Family (Ali & Anthony) – Hold on to values, respect, honesty, and family; but the best thing to hold onto in life is each other. We love you and wish you all the best! Spark (Jinnette) – Mayr was the spark that ignited the flame in Harrison that will create the warm fire to build their new life together. Levity (Catherine) – Their presence with each other is not heavy or weighty. It’s light and easygoing. They take it all in stride. I love that about them. Natural (Samantha & Chris) – It all just seemed to fit when they met without much questioning. Symbolic (Juliana & Luke) – They are unequivocally symbolic of everything that is good in the world; Symbolic of family – Symbolic of what everyone strives for in their own relationship – Symbolic of what treasures are to come and all the memories that have led us to this moment right now. Sincere (Blaise) – When I’m speaking to either of them, I do not get the impression that they misrepresent themselves or wear a mask to the outside world. If I ask how they feel, they describe it truthfully. If I ask about the love they share, it seems simple and direct, without pretense, springing from a source of genuine affection. It has been a joy of my life to share in their love, and bear witness to their ever-strengthening partnership. Classic (Guy & Elyse) – They have a classic love story – met in college, did some long distance, and then both moved to the city. They are both classically beautiful with those nice faces. They both love and studied classical music. They are timeless, classic, beauties. Delightful (Nicholas & Olivia) – Reminiscent of a sunlit spring morning. Warmth oozes from their aura, carried into the room like a sweet breeze. Forevermore (Nan) – In the words of Kahlil Gibran, “Love one another, but make not a bond of love; Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls. Together you shall be forevermore. Genuine (Liz) – Mayr and Harrison are some of the most genuine people I know. They fit into each other’s lives with ease and grace, creating genuine relationships with both friends and families. I appreciate that they have thrived in their partnership yet continue to express themselves through their individual outlets. Pure (Matt) – I have only been around them together a couple of times, but what struck me was how their love for each other was so genuinely pure. Pizza (John) – An exploration of a cuisine together. Cooking it and learning the process. Traveling the world to learn its history. Simple and classic – just like Mayr and Harrison. Compassion (Sydney and Lucas) – Seeing Harrison grow and experience life with someone so perfect for him is truly a great thing to witness. They are both so lucky to have each other. I know their future will be filled with laughter, love, and music. It takes a lot to become a teacher, and they both possess the particular compassion and tenacity it requires. I hope, and know, they’ll have a great life together. Love you guys so much! Kind (Jim) – They are both extremely kind and thoughtful and genuinely care about the feelings of others. Kindness (Deb) – Their love is like a stone cast upon a tranquil lake, their kindness creates ripples, far and wide, and their simple everyday acts – a warm smile, a loving question, or an engaging story – transforms your world and results in a reaction of goodness and care. Easy (Carl) – Mayr and Harrison are just such a natural, easy pair. They never try to be somebody else around the other. They give themselves to each other as is and feel like they can just be themselves like very few couples I have ever seen. They also bring out the best in each other and complement each other’s personalities perfectly. Very importantly, they possess unbelievably synced senses of humor (which I love cause I get twice the laughs). In the end, I’ve never once questioned that these two would spend their lives together and truly cannot imagine one without the other. Destiny (Hayden) – I believe the relationship Harrison and Mayr have aligns perfectly with their destinies. Mayr grew up on Harrison Ave as a singer with a beautiful voice. While Harrison also grew up with a love for creating music, his preverbal voice was quieter than others. But Harrison’s voice one on one, his voice is able to outshine others – just like Mayr’s singing. Their aligned love of music and passion to teach a new generation of kids and musicians, further demonstrates how their love and future together in of itself was destined to intersect eventually. Effortless (Darin) – Mayr and Harrison make their companionship seem effortless. They complement each other effortlessly. I’m a bit envious actually, because of this their relationship seems like it’s destined to be forever. Cozy (Michael) – When you are around both of them the atmosphere feels undeniably cozy! Immediate connection as a nightie was given as present. Forward (Bella) – The two of them are always moving forward, building each other up and making each other better as they move through the journey of life! Peaceful (GB) – As a couple they possess a calm, authentic, and peaceful vibe that blends perfectly together and leads one to imagine there is an instinctive bond and mutual understanding that was likely there from day one. Vibrant (Kevin & Maddy) – Mayr and Harrison always light up a room and are always doing something to enrich the community through food, music, or just being part of the city out running and walking. Mayr is my best friend in the entire world, and I couldn’t be more grateful that she has found a man worthy of her. Adoration (Lynne) – In their eyes you can see the love they have for each other, like a window into their hearts, and what shows is complete adoration for one another and their relationship. Perfection (Ken) – Not the kind of perfection that can’t get better, but that unique quality to brings just the right mix of enthusiasm, wit and symmetry as a couple to bring a sense of completion to a moment and add value to an experience. In simple words, life is better when Mayr and Harrison are around.
